Ocean Elopements: Let the Tide Slow You Down

There’s something about the ocean that pulls you back into the present.
The salt in the air. The rhythm of the waves. The reminder that nothing has to be rushed — especially not this day.

If you’re imagining an elopement that feels peaceful, grounded, and deeply personal, the shoreline might be the perfect place to start your forever.

The water is quiet.
The city slips away behind you, and for a moment, it’s just the two of you — the breeze, the waves, the wide open sky.

You’re not rushing to beat the ceremony time.
You’re not posing for someone else’s timeline.
You’re fully here. And this moment is fully yours.

You say your vows as the shoreline glides by. You laugh. You breathe. You feel the steadiness of something that’s always been bigger than you — and the intimacy of choosing each other anyway.

This isn’t just a ceremony.
It’s space.
It’s stillness.
It’s the kind of memory that settles deep and stays for good.

What’s Included

  • A 3 hour sail through Vancouver’s harbour with your photographer — time to exhale, exchange vows, or capture portraits in motion.

  • A ceremony written just for you, and led by someone who actually takes the time to know your story. (You’ll handle the marriage license separately — I’ll show you how.)

  • 3 hours of professional coverage with a photographer who fits your vibe — delivered as a fully retouched, high-res online gallery that you’ll actually want to frame

  • On-location styling for one person, including lashes and a touch-up kit so you look (and feel) amazing from ceremony to sunset.

  • Two custom pieces — bouquet & boutonnière, two bouquets, or two boutonnières. Always personal. Always photogenic.

  • I’ll scout your location, secure your permits, manage the timeline, and communicate with every vendor — so you don’t have to. You’ll also get access to Aisle Planner, your personal elopement HQ.

Important Information

Witnesses: Your captain and photographer will be your witnesses. You are also welcome to bring your own witnesses. Please select additional guests in the contact form to do this

Kids & Pets: Children are welcome to join! Please note, a sailboat is not always the safest place for a toddler. Unfortunately pets are not permitted to attend. Children will be required to bring their own PFD (personal flotation device)

Location: You will board the sailing vessel in Vancouver on Granville Island. Though there is lots of paid parking, it can be tricky to find a spot to park. Please plan to arrive early to find a parking spot and to ensure a timely departure. If you are late for your departure, the sailing portion of your elopement will be reduced in time.

Weather: Due to inclement weather, the captain may need to change the elopement destination or postpone the elopement to a later date. We will be in communication with your captain and will touch base with you the morning of your elopement if there are any changes you need to be aware of. If the weather is completely un-sailable, you may re-book your SEA elopement for another date. If the weather is completely un-sailable and you do not wish to re-book for another day, you also have the option of changing to an EARTH elopement, however if you choose this option, the cost of the SEA portion will NOT be refunded to you.

Availability: This package is available Monday-Thursday all year long!

Footwear: In order to protect the deck and woodwork of the boat, we don’t allow heels. Please wear boat shoes or sneakers and sandals with light coloured soles. You will be asked to remove any inappropriate footwear.

Attire: It can get windy on the water, even in the Summer, so jackets are recommended. You can always remove your jackets for pictures.

Sea Sickness: Both cruises are quite protected, however if you tend to experience motion sickness easily, we recommend taking a sea sickness medication 1 hour prior to your departure.

Legalization: Couples are to purchase and provide their own marriage license if legal marriage is desired
